New VCT and stair edges. VCT stands for “Vinyl Composition Tile”, and it’s the stuff you see in schools, restaurants, government buildings, etc. It comes in 1ft square pieces, although you can’t really see the joints in these pictures. You often see checkerboard patterns with this stuff. It’s inexpensive, the wear layer is the ENTIRE 1/8″ thickness, and the only downside, in my eyes, is that you might want to wax it occasionally. It looks good even if you don’t, though.
